INTERNATIONAL YOUTH INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (IYIP)
UN OFFICE PARTNERS FOR THE 6TH COHORT
The International Youth Internship Programme (IYIP) is
designed to offer young Canadians and permanent
residents the opportunity to gain professional
experience through international development work.
The objective is to support sustainable international
development projects, in partnership with developing
country partners, by Canadian professional
associations, educational associations, non-
governmental organizations, and private companies.
To be considered in the programme, the candidates must be:

Canadian citizen or Permanent resident;

Eligible to work on the Canadian soil;

Between the ages of 19 and 30 years old

Available for a 6-month remote internship with a UN office
COHORT #6: SEPTEMBER 2022 - FEBRUARY 2023
* 30 remote internship placements confirmed
* No international travels - all activities for this cohort will be done remotely
(following Global Affairs Canada recommendations)
* The selected candidates will be named Junior Professional Consultants
* The selected Junior Professional Consultants will receive a hourly salary throughout the sixth months
* Remote internship placements will be with a United Nations Office from Cambodia, Colombia, Laos, Peru, Rwanda, Thailand, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe
