Canada Green Corps is an innovative
youth employment programme designed to launch the careers
of talented, yet un- or underemployed, Canadian youth.
Funded through Environment and Climate Change Canada, Canada Green Corps strategically fulfills
government commitments to provide new employment opportunities for youth and
showcase national leadership on climate action.
Programme Objectives
-
Assist Canadian youth in developing future skills and building diverse professional networks, through six-month Work-Integrated Learning internships with employer partners across the country that will enable them to find meaningful and long-term employment
-
Accelerate Canada’s transition to a green economy by connecting a growing network of Green Corps Interns and Employer Partners together to share sustainability best practices
-
Contribute to Canada’s commitments on climate and environment as per the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Programme Testimonials
My experience has been overwhelmingly positive working with a great team of awesome
people. I love asking technical questions and, with three engineers on site, I have a wealth of
knowledge to tap into.
