Ukraine Refugee Fund
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees reports that over half a million Ukrainians have fled the war, most of whom are now in Poland. The numbers from the Polish authorities support this with an additional 100,000 war refugees entering Poland daily.
The sheer number of migrants and the extent of the need is, overwhelming and your support is urgently required.
Every day we are in contact with our fellow United Nations Association, UNA–Poland who are at the border with Ukraine, showing solidarity and support to the people of Ukraine.
UNA-Poland is delivering supplies on both the Polish and Ukrainian sides of the border, aiding refugees as they flee the horrors of war. Our colleagues have helped Nigerian nationals enter Poland through the Medyka crossing. They have delivered food, medicine and blankets to the Medica and Kortowo crossings. They are finding refugee families temporary housing in Warsaw.
We will ensure that the people of Ukraine know that the people of Canada stand with them.
In partnership with UNA-Poland and with your invaluable support we will share and amplify the stories of the Ukrainian people fleeing the war. We will secure temporary housing for families so children can continue to learn, grow and thrive with their families. We will offer safety and hope during a time of fear.
