About the Experiential Weekend
The BYP Experiential Weekend is an in person, interactive learning experience that brings together participants and young professionals from across Canada for a weekend of education, growth, and networking.
Through interactive workshops, collaborative sessions and discussions with like-minded colleagues, participants develop additional critical skills to further enhance their environmental passions in making their communities a greener place to live.
At the heart of the Experiential Weekend is the Design Your Green Initiatives Challenge (DYGI)—a portfolio worthy opportunity for participants to work together to find a solution to common green challenges plaguing Canadian communities. DYGI groups will create, design and present their projects, receiving feedback from their peers and a jury of professionals.
Beyond the crucial green skills built through the weekend, participants also have the opportunity to create life long friendships with peers, receive valuable networking opportunities with like-minded changemakers as well as industry professionals.
What You'll Experience
1 Workshops
Engage in interactive sessions on sustainable development, project management, and social innovation led by experts in the field.
2 Challenge Design
Work collaboratively to conceptualize and design your green initiative, receiving guidance from mentors throughout the process.
3 Networking
Connect with fellow participants, alumni, and professionals who share your passion for creating positive environmental change.

Each year, our participants transform their passion for sustainability into concrete action. Explore inspiring projects from past cohorts that are making real environmental and social impact.
2026 Projects
This year, the Building Young Professionals (BYP) programme had partnered with District 3 to provide a green business entrepreneurship aspect to further empower our participants to take action towards challenges they see in their communities.
District 3 provides essential resources to empower the next generation of emerging green leaders through one-on-one mentorship, innovation and professional opportunities which are crucial in Canada’s green economy.
