Eligibility Requirements:
Green Corps interns must:

Be between the ages of 18 and 30 (inclusive) at the time of intake;

Be recent post-secondary graduates eligible to work in STEM fields;
​

Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
​

Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;
​

Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits at the time of intake (*Please note that cancelling EI benefits can delay the hiring process);

Not be a full-time student or co-op student;

Be able to work full time;

Be un- or underemployed
*Note: Underemployment exists when employed persons are A) working part-time, or B) working in a field that does not utilize their academic qualifications, thus, not attaining their fullemployment level
Successful Green Corps candidates will:
-
Acquire valuable professional experience from full-time six month internships at private enterprises, civil society organisations, indigenous organisations, post-secondary institutions or other associations.

Develop their professional networks and connect with other Green Corps interns online via Innovation Team sessions.
​

Collaborate with Canadian experts in sustainable development on the Green Corps' Between Two Flags podcast.
​

Accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in their communities through a community engagement project.
​

Develop strategies to advance one or multiple Sustainable Development Goals in their workplace in collaboration with their employer.
