Forum Reports
UNA-Canada's Youth Forums Against Racism project consisted
of four regional forums. The forums were held in Ottawa, Québec,
Halifax, and Edmonton, but the spirit behind them came from
all across the country - from Summerside to Kugluktuk, Prince
George to Montréal. Over a hundred young people between the
ages of 14 and 26 participated in the four regional forums conducted
throughout May, June, and July, 2001.
While some of the ideas generated at the regional forums were
similar, each forum had specific outcomes and participants articulated
their ideas in different ways. Four regional forum reports were
therefore created to report on each forum's unique outcomes.
These reports are meant to reflect the ideas, recommendations,
and strategies of the participants. Here is an overview of the
outcomes of each regional forum.
