Get Involved!
Q: How do I get involved with YFAR?
A: Our regional and national
forums have unfortunately come to a close, but there are
other great ways of fighting racism with this initiative - for
example, using the education model to conduct an anti-racism
workshop in your school or community! Download the
KIT (pdf format) from this site or
e-mail us (yfar@unac.org)
your mailing address and we will gladly send you a copy. Also,
join the YFAR listserv - a space for discussing and sharing
experiences about the KIT, anti-racism announcements, debate
or just staying in touch. To join, please send an email to
YFAR-subscribe@yahoogroups.com .
Q: Are there any
age requirements?
A: There are
no age restrictions. This education model (a.k.a. the KIT) was
inspired and made by the youth participants of the regional
and national forums, but we hope it will be used and read by
everyone!
Q: How do I know
that this is a worthwhile effort?
A: We certainly
think this initiative is worthwhile, but don't simply take our
word for it. Refer to our feedback
page for the opinions and views of youth from across Canada
who participated in the forums. Secondly, join our listserv
and speak to them directly or share your comments of the KIT
there.
