NATIONAL CONFERENCE
February 29 – March 2, 2008

ROUNDTABLE - Identity and creating a Sense of Belonging in Canada
Where policymakers will come together to discuss the state of identity, diversity, and community action in Canada.

DATE:             Friday, February 29th, 2008

TIME:              12:30pm Luncheon
                        2:00pm Roundtable Session

LOCATION:   Parliament Hill (Centre Block 256-S)

The event will begin with a lunch reception and photo exhibit featuring the winner of UNA-Canada’s photo contest About Face, a national contest that asked Canadians of all ages to capture what it means to be Canadian. The lunch will be followed by a roundtable discussion commencing at 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

The discussion will showcase some of the activities that have taken place through the project, and be an opportunity to engage in dialogue on the inclusiveness of Canadian society.

Along with policymakers and stakeholders, we are excited to welcome our project representatives from nine Canadian communities, who have worked on this three-year initative and can speak directly to the successes and challenges surrounding diversity in our nation.
