“From Witness to Advocate”
Date: September to December 1998

Brief Description: Six very passionate speakers from different cities in Canada who have experienced or witnessed human rights abuses abroad are available to share their stories with Canadians. They will speak in their own communities from September to December in order to bring to life the words of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We are asking Canadians to invite one or more of these witnesses to their local events. The six witnesses are; Nathaniel Bimba of Liberia who lives in Edmonton, AB, Rudhramoorthy Cheran of Sri Lanka who lives in Toronto, ON, Nora Lopez of Honduras who lives in Hamilton, ON, Zepheniah Emie Otuki of Uganda who lives in Fredericton, NB, Tran Trieu Quan of Vietnam who lives in Sillery, QC and Win Than of Burma who lives in Vancouver, BC.
