Introduction
The
reason I decided to do my project on starvation is because
it's starting to become a main issue and I think we should
help the people who are starving.
By
reading the newspapers, magazines and informative stuff
I found out that about 13% of the people are starving in
Canada and 45% of them are kids.Actually the main reason
I did this project was to find out if people in Canada are
starving too when I found the result out that it was 45%,
I was very surprised.
But
it's not that the food is less in this world it's that the
people buy the food too much at a time and the poor people
are just left out .
It's
importance is that food is one of the necessities of life
and if there's no food, there's no life. I mean you have
to get food to survive so I hope other people feel how it
is to survive with out food and surviving without food is
impossible, if this is how the world is going to work that
rich and average people are going to get the food and not
the poor people the population will be less by day and day.
The
important thing about my project is that people in Canada
are still getting help but other countries like Somalia,
Iraq, India and Pakistan are not rich countries and people
are dying fast because the government is not very rich either.
So I hope everyone will help and try their best so this
world can be a better place, because the people who are starving
to death in other countries are making the population less,
so I hope this world will be a better place!! so...

The
solutions that are already working are food drives donating
money more people helping in food matters.
MY
OWN IDEAS!!
My own idea would be that we should do bakesale and stuff
raise some money however we can and add the money with the
government's money so that we can grow food on farms. By
growing food on the farms people will get jobs too because
we need farmers to work in the farm and pay the farmers
and 80% of the food should go to poor people and food banks
and stuff. And for increasing the awareness I would suggest
the government should sponsor t.v shows. You can do something
in your community like do a talk show and do a raffle that
who ever came to the talk show will win a prize at the end
and the prize should be at least for 3 people. That way
you can increase the awareness of the public. So these solutions
are working because U.N is helping and people are individually
helping too.

Introduction
My
topic is about starvation
I chose
this topic because it effect us in some regions people are
well fed. While others go hungry till death ! And I like
to learn more about them so I can help them and and make
more fund raising . And collect money for them . I feel
sorry for them because it's unfair for them and us, for
them because people are hungry till death and the medical
care it's not that much and schools are not available for
all kids. And here we have food to eat and we learn at school
and have enough medical care.
People
are dying.
I think
my topic is important because it is increasing all over
the world , nobody cares about it ,no body feels what the
poor people do every day, they don't any help . It's time
to wake up and try to help each other . People are dying
day after day because they don't have something to eat and
to feed their kids, look at their body it's health like ours.
We can help them by sending food or money to live.
Research
Their
are many reasons for starvation including rapid population:
growth, war, a lack of rain fall, and world pattern's of
agriculture. Food is a basic need about people go hungry
every year, and many other's eat poorly there are problems
in the world with both the quantity and the quality of food.
In
some countries like Ethiopia and Mozambique, a lake of rain
and an ongoing war reduce food supplies.but in other countries
like Canada unbalanced meals "Junk food" are often
responsible for poor health.
Quantity
of food is a more serious problem in our world than quality
of food. While in Canada there are some people without enough
to eat in Africa and parts of Asia, south America and central
huge population are, inadequately fed. In many African nations
people average only about 8000 Kilojoules of food energy
a day or 80% of there daily food needs by contrast average
Canadians consume 125% of their daily food needs every day.
The majority of the worlds hungry nations are found in Africa.
The African continents also has the highest population growth
rate. Since this pattern holds true for other hungry continents.
UNITED
NATIONS
United
Nations helps people to provide basic needs. Such as food,
shelter ,and clothes as well as peace and security.
The
United Nations helps people all over the world like homeless
people that they provide them shelter and food and other
countries need help, so the U.N. helps them to solve their
problem . Geographers often compare the wealth countries
using G.N.P. "gross National product" of this
statistic shows the value of every thing made in a country
it also includes the people harvest things. The U.N. helps
and gives hungry people some food like: fish ,crops forest
and minerals and it also includes the paid services people
provide such as teaching and some medical care. And also
the food banks helps the starving people by sending them
food so they can live.
WE
ARE WHAT WE EAT
A basic
need of all human being is food. It is important to have
a balanced diet that includes all of vitamins, carbohydrates,
and proteins needed by your body. Food helps to fight off
serious disease s, and it may increase the risk of brain
damege or stunted growth in children. In areas where food
is in short supply, malnutrition or famine may occurs. In
the early 1980s many millions of Africans were suffering
from famine and serious malnutritions. The world does produce
enough food to feed everyone yet there is malnutritions
and starvation in many areas. This is one of biggest world
problems: How to get food to everyone.
Response
Like
we know people are starving till death. and the reasons
are conflicts, war, growth, a lake of rain, fall and many
things. If people can help stop conflicts and wars the starvation
is going to be less. and if there the people share together
and build a dam so it can collect the water and the water
from the lake of the rain and the falls and to plant some
of farms to feed the hungry people till the U.N. people
come and help them.
Many
world organization are concerned about hunger each year,
World Food Day reminds us that it is possible for the earth
to feed all of it's people the supporter, of world food
day has developed projects to help farmers in the hungry
countries to increase the amount of food they can produce.
There food growing projects are based on the following ideas.
- Farmers
need good lands, loan and training to help them grow
- Farmers,
need to receive a fair price for the food they grow ,
to encourage them to grow more food than to provide donation
of food to the hungry people to provide a hand rather
than handout .
- and
other people that couldn't plant food, we have to care
about them and help them because the food banks couldn't
help them alone, so we have to be one hand and help each
other.
The
United Nations need some help, also from the people because
they can't help these million of people by themselves like
they show people how people die, at the T.V and at the newspaper
and there is a day that they all collect money to buy food,
give medical care and to pay teachers
Today,
about 669,000 Canadian are forced to turn to food banks
every month to help feed their families, according to Toronto's
daily bread food banks. that's more than double the number
in 1989 when Ottawa vowed to end child poverty by the year
2000. In greater Toronto, one third of children using food
banks executive director Sue Cox said in an interview: Malnutrition
is a complex issues in the developing world the report notes.
The
U.N. children's fund urges richer nations to fund vitamin
programs for poor countries.
There
are these solutions from the food banks, the United Nations,
by helping the hungry people around the world like sending
food, money, crops, Medical care and some books to learn
them something from the life. These solutions are working
but not saving all hungry people around the world because
there are so many of them.
But
why not help the U.N. people or giving more food for the
food banks and some families that are rich enough money
to edoubt a kid that would save a family, we could show
more people how hungry people live by T.V. and radios so
it takes their attention. Please if you could help them
do so.
Thanks!
