Curriculum Connections Teaching about the UN and global issues fits into the grades 5 to 8 social studies curriculum expectations of every province and territory in Canada. As such, the lesson plans in this package have been designed to correspond to the expected outcomes of the various curricula. In this section, the social studies curriculum connections for the ten provinces and three territories of implementation of the programme are highlighted.
