The What Kind of WorldÖ? workshops meet the following Cycle II intermediate and terminal objectives of the QuÈbec social studies curriculum:



Cycle II:
  • identifying different aspect of daily life which distinguish people around the world;
  • identifying commonalities that unite people around the world;
  • understanding the different rights and responsibilities that citizens have;
  • describing some situations in which citizens' rights and freedoms are subject to abuse;
  • identifying some of the means available to citizens to defend their rights and freedoms;
  • identifying some situations in the which the exercise of rights and freedoms is curtailed or denied; and
  • identifying several bodied which can defend rights and freedoms at the international level
