Gala Chairmen Selected For Toronto and Montreal Two well-known Canadian business leaders have agreed to be hosts and chairpersons of two gala fundraising dinners for UNA-Canada this year. Ted Rogers, Chairman of Rogers Communications, will host a dinner in Toronto on Monday, June 21, in honour of Ted Turner. Mr. Rogers, was co-chairman for our Toronto gala in 1992. Another gala, to be held in Montreal on December 7 with Secretary-General Kofi Annan, will be hosted by Yves Fortier, chairman of the prestigious law firm of Ogilvy-Renault and a former Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations. This will be the fourth time Mr. Fortier has generously agreed to host a UNA fundraising event.
