Every Life is a Story: The Social Relations of Science, Ecology and Peace
By F.H. Knelman, Ph.D. and UNA-Canada member

Globalization and the nature of global change are two important components that shape Every Life is a Story, which represents the culmination of a life-long involvement and commitment to peace and environment. It is both a social and personal history. First Knelman deals with the nature of science and the behaviour of scientists. He then turns to an analysis of nuclear power, military and civil, and the fatal link between them. A history of environmental thought precedes a shift to the global stage-the-phenomenon of global change and the challenge of global governance. The last chapter describes a model of social sustainability.

Fred H. Knelman received his doctorate in Physics and Engineering at the University of London, U.K. He is the author of numerous publications and the recipient of many awards, such as the World Peace Prize in 1994.
