Our Mission Statement

The United Nations Association in Canada builds bridges of knowledge and understanding that link all Canadians with the people and nations of the world. Through the United Nations system, we share in the common quest for peace, human rights, equitable and sustainable development and the elimination of poverty.

We support a family of organizations that are international in scope, but relevant to each local community and to each individual. We approach issues globally, work for a more democratic UN, inform Canadians and enter into dialogue with governments and other organizations in a manner consistent with the Association’s goals.
