Each host organization provides 'terms of reference' for any internship
placement. These ToR's are summarized below, but may be explored
more deeply at the interview stage. |

placement applicants such as educational background, language, skills
or experience. |

Some host organizations may offer stipends, per diems or in kind
support (e.g. local bus pass) to help cover living costs; others

Assist UNDP Rwanda's Aid Coordination Unit to strengthen
government capacity for aid management and to play a coordinating
role in assisting both the Government of Rwanda and its Development
Partners to meet the goals set out in national and international
commitments relating to aid and its effectiveness. Coordinating
the writing, design and printing of the Annual Government
of Rwanda and Development Partners' Report; Engaging in day-to-day
capacity building activities with staff of the Ministry of
Finance and Economic Planning's External Finance Unit. |

Master's degree in international relations, development
studies or a related subject. Fluency in English, with at
least a good working knowledge of French. Experience in preparation
of publications and management of events. Experience of work

Engage in substantive work relating to democratic governance,
critical in consolidating peace in Sierra Leone, in particular,

area, he/she will advance the core mandate of UNDP. In the
spirit of Paris Declaration, assistance to foster partnerships

(2008 - 2009) including regular budget and extrabudgetary
programmes. Participate in activities regarding the planning
stage for the upcoming biennium (2010 - 2011). Draft and prepare

| Duties: |
Contribute to the realization of WFP's mandate which is
to enable WFP and partners to draw a full picture of who is
at risk of hunger and malnutrition and to provide solutions,
whether through food aid or other forms of assistance. Drafting
of the Food Security Atlas and participating in the country
office effort of developing a comprehensive monitoring and
evaluation system. Assisting the mapping officer in producing
maps describing the Food Security situation in Laos PDR. |
| Qualifications |
MA or MSc in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Economics,
Business Administration, Agriculture, Nutrition, International
Affairs or related field. Excellent ability to communicate
(verbally, writing and reading) in English. Experience working
in a team environment, involving people of different nationalities
and/or cultures. Field-level experience in implementing assistance
programs, in an emergency setting or in a development context
would be an asset. |

| Duties: |
Assist in the collaboration and consultation with the Malagasy
Ministry of Education, currently one of the main donors
of the WFP school feeding programme in Madagascar, UN Agencies,
international and major national NGOs, and donors is anticipated.
Assist in all matters related to the school feeding programme,
including the programming of resources, day-to-day management,
project monitoring, planning and formulation of requests
for new resources. Participate in UNDAF thematic group (education)
and multi-donors meetings, ensure follow up actions and
prepare brief/reports. Undertake regular monitoring visits
to selected schools, analysis and follow up on monitoring
reports produced by field monitors.

studies on internal displacement. |

Master's degree in relevant field, i.e. forced migration,

| Duties: |
Conduct eligibility interviews of new asylum seekers for
refugee status (mainly first instance; if need be appeal level
as well), in a thorough yet compassionate manner, using a
range of interviewing techniques, in order to gather sufficiently
accurate and detailed information to assess eligibility for
Refugee Status. Analyze the information gathered during the
interview, identify and use additional information such as
Country of Origin Information and prepare objective, well
argued and reasoned recommendations for decisions. |
| Qualifications |
University degree (B.A.) in Law, International Relations
or Political Science. Good knowledge of refugee issues,
Human Rights doctrine and international law instruments
in the field of human rights. Ability to work effectively
under stress and in crisis situations. Cultural and gender
awareness and fluency in English is essential.

practices and lessons learnt on coordination and by making
sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities
of practice. Provide support in effectively partnering with

Masters Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, International
Relations, Political Sciences or related field. 1 to 2 years
of progressively responsible administrative or programme experience
is required at the national or international level, preferably
with development-related work experience. Fluency in spoken
