At UNA-Canada, we respect your right to privacy and we understand that
donors, prospective donors, users of the UNA-Canada website and others
who have contact with our organization offline need to be in control
of their personal information. "Personal information" is any information
that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact an individual.
UNA-Canada is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its
on-line visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how www.unac.org and
its affiliated websites may collect, use and aggregate personal information.

We do not sell information about traffic usage patterns on our website.
However, aggregated site usage data may be shared with sponsors as part
of the accountability and transparency process that shows how their
sponsorship has made a difference.
Cookies
As many websites do, we sometimes store temporary information, which
can personalize your visit to our site, using cookies. Cookies are simply
an alternative for storing information used by web page scripts in your
computer's browser rather than on a server. Cookies cannot gather any
more information about you than what is already publicly available when
you surf the web or what you offer in a web form. We use cookies to
better understand how our site is used, to make sure our information
and dynamic content are working correctly, and to improve the performance
of our site for our web visitors. We do not use cookies to retain personal
information about our visitors.

you choose to do so.
- Personal information from visitors browsing
our website is not retained, shared or sold.
- If you specifically fill
in an on-line form or survey that pro-actively asks for
personal information, the information you provide will only be used
for the purpose(s) described therein. Your personal information will
never be sold.
- If you are joining one
of our open forums or listservs, your name and email will
only be used for the purpose(s) described therein. However, please
remember that, unless otherwise stated, any information or personal
view that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information.
We cannot control what recipients do with the information shared.

either on-line or by printing and mailing in a donation form, we encourage
you to also review our Donor

Security
UNA-Canada is committed to protecting the security of your information
in whatever format(s) it is held. Our employees, authorized volunteers
and agents with access to personal information are required to (a) respect
the confidentiality of that information and (b) implement methods of
protection. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is
not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary; to ensure that
the integrity and accuracy of the information is maintained; and to
ensure that the data is not lost or destroyed. These safeguards include
locked rooms and/or cabinets; limiting access on a "need to know"
basis; passwords and encryption; and audits.
On-Line Giving Security
UNA-Canada's on-line giving site is encrypted and secure. To ensure
your payment information is secure we use the Paypaq Payment Solutions
Gateway. The Paypaq Payment Solutions Gateway processes your credit
card information securely in real time using the latest available encryption
technology. This means your payment information cannot be read as it
travels over the Internet to your credit issuing institution. Paypaq
Payment Solutions is accredited by all financial institutions in North
America. Look for the unbroken key or locked lock on the bottom of the
on-line donations pages to ensure you are submitting your payment information
on a secure form.
Liability
On-line donation information has tight encryption control and the information
you provide is made available only to bonded billing personnel. Other
sections of our website have more basic security measures in place designed
to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information
that is under our control. However, no website is entirely safe. By
using UNA-Canada's website(s), you agree that the Internet is inherently
insecure and accordingly, UNA-Canada can not provide any definite assurance
regarding security or personal information. UNA-Canada will not be liable
under any circumstances for any damages whatsoever, direct or indirect,
resulting from any use of this website or any other third party website
linked to from this website, whether or not we are advised of the possibility
of such damages.
