On Thursday, 31 March 2011, the United
Nations Association in Canada (UNA-Canada) will be celebrating
it's 65th anniversary.
For more than half a century, UNA-Canada
has worked with Canadians from coast to coast to coast to
foster proactive engagement and made-in Canada solutions
to global challenges at the local, national and international
levels. This special evening will celebrate UNA-Canada’s
65 years as a national charitable organization engaging
the Canadian public in the work of the United Nations and
the critical international issues which affect us all.
We hope you, your friends and supporters,
will join us to celebrate this milestone. We may be turning
65, but “retirement” simply is not an option. Together,
we are, and will continue to be, the voice and the power
of “We the peoples”.
Funds raised will support the United
Nations Association in Canada's youth and education programmes.
