A special evening reception to honour Richard (Dick) Pound, Chairman of the World Anti-Doping Agency, former Vice President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Canadian Olympic athlete, for his commitment and success in fostering excellence, effective management and ethical standards in international sports, and in particular the Olympics.

As 2005 is designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Sport and Physical Education, and as UNA-Canada will soon be launching our own project called "Sport-in-a-Box", we consider this year an excellent time to honour Mr. Pound.
