The United Nations Association in Canada is very pleased to provide an opportunity for key representatives of non-government organizations, government, corporations and interested individuals to share a short period over lunch with Mrs. Nane Annan during the State Visit of His Excellency Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the UN, to Ottawa. The visit falls only one day after International Women's Day (March 8) - for which the international theme this year is Women and HIV/AIDS. Mrs. Annan will share with attendees a personal dialogue on the theme, 'Today AIDS has a woman's face', in commemoration of International Women's Day, exploring the impact of HIV/AIDS on women around the world through her personal experiences visiting UN AIDS-related projects and people she has met while travelling with the Secretary-General.
