YOUTH

This site is your information station on human security challenges. You can research topics for school, check out photos, try a quiz and more. For teachers, there are resources to help bring human security into the classroom. What is Human Security? Human security is about putting people at the centre of what Canada does internationally. Before we can have long-term stability, we all need to feel safe and know that our human rights are being protected. Surf the site and see how Canada is working to build a world where everyone is free from fear!

Environment - what is this topic doing on a web site about citizenship?

This site takes a look at the concept of citizenship - first in general terms, and then again - through an environmental "lens". It then takes a brief look at three of Canada's environmental laws. Have your say about the environmental issues that are on your mind in the Speak Up section. In Stuff, profiles amazing Canadians who are actively engaged, as well as books and links that take you to the information you need to become environmentally savvy. Visit them all and you'll find so many ways that you, yes you, can get active too!
