How can I get UN publications, videos or other information in Canada?
United Nations Sales Publications
The United Nations sells many excellent publications, all of which may
be ordered through UNA-Canada. An abridged list of UN and other publications
currently sold by UNA-Canada, along with additional information on ordering
UN documents, is available in the publication section of this web site.
While the list is not exhaustive, any UN publication can be ordered
through UNA-Canada. For a complete list of publications, or for further
information on ordering, please telephone the UNA-Canada Information
and Research Officer at (613) 232-5751, ext. 230 or send an e-mail message
to info@unac.org.
UNA-Canada does carry some documents from various UN Specialized Agencies, such as the UNDP’s Human Development Report, but we do not carry documents from all international organizations.
United Nations Related Non-Sales Publications
The United Nations also publishes non-sales documents on various topics. We will soon be adding a list of non-sales documents we have available on this site. These documents are free, but a shipping fee will be assessed at a minimum of cdn$4.00.Quantities are limited on some publications. UNA-Canada maintains the right to ship fewer copies than were ordered when the quantity is limited.
Currently, the best way to find free information about the UN and its specialized agencies, is to browse their web sites. There is a wide array of recent information on these sites, including daily briefings on the United Nations. To find this information, click on the links to the United Nations found on this site. When at the UN homepage, browse to see what they have to offer. If you are looking for information on a particular UN Agency, Programme or Body, you can find it at www.unsystem.org. The web is a convenient way to get the information you want, while saving both you and the United Nations money.
