Strengthening the Organization

In order for the United Nations Association in Canada to effectively realize its goals and fulfill its mandate, an on-going emphasis needs to be placed on strengthening its structures, funding, reputation and membership.

This objective will be realized through:

• Improving communications
  
  
  1. between Branches
  2. between the National Office and Branches
  3. between the National Office and the Board
  4. within the National Office
  5. within the Board
  6. between the organization and the public.
     
     
• Ensuring quality projects and programmes.
• Ensuring the programmes and services are delivered in both official languages, wherever possible.
• Nurturing existing partnerships and cultivating new ones.
• Supporting and nurturing volunteerism.
• Recognizing volunteers.
• Establishing a high-level Advisory Panel on UN issues.
• Building a stronger membership base.
• Increasing employee satisfaction and building a strong staff team.
• Securing a stable funding base and erasing the organizational deficit.
• Developing strong organizational management and leadership.
