The Programme of Work and Operational Budget for 2003 presents an overview of the operations, activities and key focuses of the United Nations Association in Canada for the fiscal year 2003. The purpose of this document is twofold:

1. To provide internal direction for both the staff and Board members of UNA-Canada's National Office and Branches.
2. To facilitate a clearer understanding of the organization to external partners, members, funders and interested citizens. The Programme of Work and Operational Budget is a public document.


In 2003, the United Nations Association in Canada marks its 57th anniversary as a Canadian non-profit organization and again renews its commitment to engage the Canadian public in the work of the United Nations and critical international issues. In order to effectively realize this mandate, UNA-Canada will work to ensure high-quality, consistent and far-reaching projects and programmes at the National and Branch levels. This will be supported by a strategic approach to building a stable funding base, continued improvements to the support provided for Branches and a focus on ensuring strong partnerships and solid internal governance.
