On June 24, 2000, long-time friend and supporter of UNA-Canada, Dr. Gunther Hartmann of the St. John’s Branch passed away. Dr. Hartmann, was instrumental in the establishment of the UNA-St. John’s Model United Nations Assemblies for area high school students at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. He was an active member of the Branch and sat on its Board for many years. Our heart felt condolences go out to his family. He will be missed.
Donations for a scholarship in his name may be made to the Political Science Department of the Memorial University of Newfoundland.
